Project objectives

Our general objectives are to encourage exchange of good practices and promote international cooperation among schools from communities living on the waterfront.

The specific objectives of the project are:

1. Increase children's awareness of the influence of water pollution on the aquatic ecosystem. At the end of the 24 months of the project 60% of participating students are able to indicate specific effects of water pollution on the life of the aquatic ecosystem from their area.

2. Formation and education of behaviours, positive attitudes towards the protection of the environment and protected areas. Increasing the selective collection rate of paper and used batteries at the school level during the project by 20% in 24 months.

3. Children became aware of the interconnections between the ecosystem and the economic and social life of human communities living on the waterfront. At the end of the 24 months of the project 60% of participating students are able to indicate elements of interconnections between the aquatic ecosystem and their daily urban life.
